Growing people to do great things for our communities

eLearning produces a winner!

The winner of the Co-Lab Learning eLearning competition, LearnFest, is Luke Liu from Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC).  Congrats Luke!

Luke works as a Fleet Coordinator for RLC, after starting as an intern with council in December 2023 in the project management office. Jenny Grace, Co-Lab Learning’s regional manager, presented Luke with the $100 Prezzy Card at Rotorua Lakes council on 8th October.  Luke said he enjoyed the learning he completed during the competition and was delighted to be the recipient of the prize draw.  “I’ve never won anything before, so this is great!” he said.

During September the team at Co-Lab Learning launched LearnFest, a competition to coincide with both Learning and Development, and Mental Health Awareness week. 344 entries across two previously selected eLearning modules that were focused on mental health and resilience were received.

“LearnFest was an excellent way to highlight the eLearning that is available to council staff via Co-Lab Learning, while also linking the modules to mental health awareness” said Jenny.

“And RLC did a fantastic job of promoting LearnFest, with almost 60 people completing the two selected modules.  We were delighted to award Luke the prize!” she said.

LearnFest is scheduled to take place again next year. Contact the Co-Lab Learning team for more info, and to share your ideas for 2025.
